Is this different from typical demo reel companies?
Yes. Most companies simply edit existing footage or shoot "scenes" against a studio wall. We are a full-scale production house. We write original scripts, scout locations, and use cinema packages to film scenes from scratch. We don't just "cut" reels—we produce narrative work.
Can I bring my own script?
To maintain our narrative and visual standards, we only film original material developed in-house. Every scene is custom-written during the Pre-Production phase to specifically highlight your casting type while maintaining the Hardal Production cinematic aesthetic.
Will this look like a real production or something staged?
We avoid the "staged" look by prioritizing narrative realism. By using high-end optics, professional location sound, and cinematic color grading, your scenes are indistinguishable from high-budget indie or studio productions. We shoot on location to ensure the environment feels lived-in and real.
Who directs the performance?
Your session is directed by a filmmaker with narrative work distributed on platforms like Apple TV and Amazon. This isn't just "recording"—it's active performance coaching to ensure your screen presence is optimized for casting directors.
What if I don’t know what roles fit me?
Identifying your "on-screen type" is a core part of our Pre-Production framework. We analyze your essence and your goals to develop characters that fit you naturally while showcasing the range you need to book the roles you're targeting.
How long is the production day?
We treat every scene like a professional film set. A single-scene session is typically a 5–6 hour production block. This allows our crew the necessary time for cinematic lighting setups, precise blocking, and multiple takes to ensure we capture the nuance of your performance. We don't "rush" the frame; we build it.
How long until I get my footage?
The post-production phase involves a narrative edit, professional sound mixing, and a custom color grade. You will receive your master 4K files and optimized casting clips within 14 business days.
Can I request changes after editing?
We provide one round of technical revisions (adjusting specific cuts or timing) after the initial delivery. Major creative overhauls or "re-edits" are not included once the final master and color grade are locked.
